And in the evening, when I lie in bed and end my prayers with the words, " I thank you, God, for all that is good and dear and beautiful," I am filled with joy. Then I think about "the good" of going into hiding, of my health and with my whole being of the "dearness" of Peter, of that which is still embryonic and impressionable and which we neither of us dare to name or touch, of that which will come some time; love, the future, happiness and of "the beauty" which exists in the world; the world, nature, beauty and all, all that is exquisite and fine.

I don't think then of all the misery, but of the beauty that still remains. This is one of the things that Mummy and I are so entirely different about. Her counsel when one feels melancholy is :"Think of all the misery in the world and be thankful that you are not sharing it!" My advice is: "Go outside, to the fields, enjoy nature and the sunshine, go out and try to reapture happinesss in yourself and in God. Think of all the beauty that's still left in and around you and be happy!"

I don't see how Mummy's idea can be right, because then how are you sipposed to behave if you are going through the misery yourself? Then you are lost. On the contrary, I've found that there is always someb beauty left- in nature, sunshine, freedom, in yourself; these can all help you. Look at these things, then you find yourself again, and God, and then you regain your balance.

And whoever is happy, will make others happy too. He who has courage and faith will never perish in misery!

our blog is seriously lagging men. so i'll post a looong rubbish entry.

netties, i've finally been able to contact trace. she says:

i miss you and the netties very much!! i wanna play netball with all of you again!! oh man! you mean they were trying to contact me?? shikes!! tell them my no. +447716688438 and they can always send me an email or msg on friendster. i will reply. tell them i miss them lots and lots.

so now jas you and the others can keep trying! are we all going back for past vs present?? cheryl's back too!! but it think she's gonna be m'sia so it'll be the 8 of us if we all go back please please!!

i met wanlin the other day so she could celebrate her post examness with crazy shopping but she didnt even go crazy! it was so much fun though hahaha i love shopping with her. i;m sorry again nette that i had to leave so early that day! we couldnt do all the nice nonsense we usually do. soon soon :) AND liz, i still cant get over how great you look! i hope school hasnt been too stressful for you.

i went to sentosa with my family this weekend and it was lovely being able to spend alot of time with my parents since they're always so busy and tired. lara and zarya are so much fun to hang out with! just sitting in the sand and talking to them is nice!

i got very burnt though. i didnt even try to tan or anything i just sat outside for half an hour and now i have to force myself to fall asleep on my back cos my shoulders are like raw crocodile skin yuck! i moisturised over and over and over again but my dad started a water spitting attack! and when i wiped my shoulder with the tissue this happened:

at least it's small and looks like a heart you say??

X marks the spot HAHAHAHA suckerr right plus i have little mozi bites around there can you see? and i cant scratch! but i'm trying hard to forgive my epithelial soldiers.

and i am so embarrassed. i had a sports therapy massage there and i started laughing because it was so ticklish. then suddenly i remembered what my mum had told me before i went in that she was doing her bio accoustics project and they were being filmed by this guy called michael schumaker. so it was michael schumaker filming elizabeth taylor and dolphins. hahaha it sounded like some stupid spoof! and then OH MY FRIES that day at the esplanade popped into my head. hahahahahahaha only charm carol and tiff know what i'm talking about.

okay cos we went to meet liz at the esplanade and went to max brenners. then after liz had to go home we went and sat by the river and listened to the live bands playing. and then we saw there was a candy floss stand! so YAY charm and i went to get two bags for us all to share. and then when we were walking back i cant remember how it started but we were just playing around and using the bags of candy floss to whack each other. but lightly!

i just LIGHTLY hit charm on her arm and then she hit me back and then i hit her head and then out of nowhere hahaha she BOMMED it on my side and the bag exploded and there was this cloud of pink candy floss flying through the air and we had to bend down we laughing so hard and then after we calmed down a bit i realised that when the bag exploded the biggest chunk of candy floss had stuck to my side and bits were plastered across my whole back hahahaha and i didnt even know i was just on the floor laughing with a hairy candy back and EVERYONE was staring and laughing with us. wow when i remembered that i couldnt stop laughing it was so inconvenient to be only covered by a towel on a table!! hahah thank goodness the lady was nice.

we got back on sunday and i spent the remainder of the day driving the volvo around with mark. it was so much fun and he was so excited to drive hahaha he made me run around to the back so he could "pick me up". aw!

alex just got back yesterday for the easter break and her 21st birthday and kally gets back on friday so we'll all be together again for a few days. :D i've just spent the whole afternoon talking to aunty cym and shes been telling me all the stories of the war and how it was when they were small and everything about the family. it's SO interesting i love her stories. we talk every night now which is nice. i'm trying to learn how to play mahjong. the generations above us all call my dad spider cos he was so pro at it and just scooped up all the right tablets really fast hahaha!

met up with crystal and charm on thursday. kristalle couldnt come.. and i havent seen her in such a long time too. crystal was very sweet! she got jaffa cakes for me it was such a nice surprise! thank you cryster! the marines are in town now so charm had her pick of mancandy. although i think they were slightly put off by her rampant shoutings of "THESE ARE THE MARINES!!!!" when they were five metres away. hahaha mange-arungo yew are a noddy.

today was very busy. i've been getting things ready for al's birthday for a long time now and there's still such alot left to do. i like what it is though, with part of it being this really nice photo album with a photo from every year of her 21 years in it, and 21 presents where with every present she gets she gets a photo with it and they are all such nice photos! like the kind that make you laugh and feel happy. i went a bit crazy going through the thousands of albums we have to get to a photo from every year though.. kind of like a mad one man show hahaha there are 9 blister plasters on my feet/ hobbit transportation devices now- hahah carol i added 7 in addition to your daffy and taz. caroLine is hilarious. i went over to rescue her from herself since she had begun to disengage the use of all five senses through 8 straight hours of painting walls. but she had to go collect something so we decided to leave it till next week when we can make it a good painting day with all the proper features like stencils and chocolate and chocolate and music and scrubby clothes and chocolate. :D it was really nice to get to spend time with you for awhile rolaylim. i've missed you since you started work!

eddie i tried to respond to your post on our blog but i still cant sign in separately. it was really interesting! what issue is that article in?? and where are the other photos we took that day?
