3 men April 28, 2005 i can't get over how great it feels to have my parents near. just being able to call out their names and have them answer is such a nice change from having them halfway across the world. i went grovery shopping yesterday with my dad and just that was so much fun because he was there! i'm definitely going to make the most of the next two days i have with them.we went on a four wheel drive three hours out to central otago. it was so beautiful with giant mountains and lakes and locations of LOTR film sites all around. especially since all the leaves were turning colour to yellowyorangeyreds. there were patches of snow all along the way which my mum got extremely excited about. but we didnt have time to stop and play. we stopped at this amazingly unbelievably scrumptiously pretty place for lunch and some fishing in a river. ahh it was so nice there it was just like england. i was standing on a rock thinking about how much fun i have with my parents and just generally how much fun they are when this caught my attention; daddy:liz! there's some snow over here! mummy:ooh wonderful! mummy proceeds to run a 100 miles to the area my dad indicated and hunts for about five minutes. mummy:vernon what on earth were you talking about? cheesa come and help me look! i reach there in time to see her round a bush and find a clump of snow about 4 cm across sort of in the process of melting in the middle of some mud. almost die laughing. mummy:oh bloody hell! (wheezing giggles) damn you vernon! turn around and see my dad keeled over laughing. hahahaha. mummy recovers and walks further down the river while we return to the car for grapes. SPLAT daddy is hit by massive snowball thrown by mummy who is chanting 'vern the worm'. "what the- (same wheezing laughter) dammit liz! and so ensued a mini snowball fight in the middle of autumn between two grown doctors. hahahahaha i couldnt stop laughing they are CRAZED!!! i'm off to auckland tomorrow while jo gets back from her trip so i'm going to sleep now. nitenite! |
